More Royal Headgear

You must be thinking by now that I have an obsession with hats. Not so - I never wear them! In fact the only hat I've ever worn since I left school was a helmet when I used to ride and race motorbikes. But I'm definitely starting to have concerns about the integrity of the royal family's fashion advisors - this time the Queen was spotted wearing an embellished hairnet at Chelsea Flower Show earlier this week. Well, in her defence it was a very windy day, and at least she didn't leave her hair curlers on under it!

But the Queen wasn't the only one wandering around Chelsea wearing unusual head gear - I wonder where the two ladies pictured below got their inspiration from? And I see absolutely no excuse for the chap who had a cactus on his head, unless of course he just wanted to get himself noticed! But I'm pleased to say that at least one model was spotted who managed to combine looking beautiful and glamorous with wearing a striking hat.....

  2. Wonder why they went with black for the queen's hairnet - looks like they threw it together at the last minute when they realised she needed a net to keep her hair still.

  7. I think that the queen's could have been done a little differently, it looks like it was thrown on as a last minute attempt.
