Wordless Wednesday 2013 #36 - Ok Phansa Preparations
Buddhist monks making paper lanterns and decorations for their forthcoming Ok Phansa festival, which occurs during a full moon and celebrates the end of Lent in Luang Prabang, Laos. For the monks, Lent lasts for three months in the rainy season, during which the monks are confined to their temples, learning dharma and practicing meditation.
